Villa Weeks 46 and 47
Week Forty-Six and Forty-Seven at Sleeping Indian Sunday the 31st. As always a stunning pair of eggs, trying to be good now as scales are a bit shocking. Bear had a real stunner of an egg event. Slacked out with a small amount of pottering. Monday the 1st of February to the Saturday the 6th. Nothing special to report, just quite a bit of pottering. Sunday the 7th. Yet another new week is upon us. I had a baby egg event and Bear had a bigger one. I settled to Jenny’s family tree and the hundred’s of MacDonald’s of the Isle of Lewis to paddle through, Bear had a slack day. Enjoying re-watching NCIS Los Angeles. Monday the 8th. Fybogel managed without incident but whilst munching my breakfast carrot a sneeze exploded so fast I only had time to clap my hand over my mouth. Bear roared and told me not to move. Captured on his mobile with orange bits up my nose, on chest, between fingers and all over my laptop screen. Tuesday the 9th. I pottered and gave sugar to the birds. Bear cut the tiles, stood them in place and cut the trellis to fit the right side of the gas cylinder hutch. I can now see all the lounge floor save for the tool pile to be sorted and stowed in the garage. Bedding for the office on Beez still on the settee…….. Wednesday the 10th. Bear stuck the tiles in place and wow, a nice job with the trellis finishing his work on the gas cylinder hutch. Soon as the weather dries up a bit I will top coat and then lay a fine tilth of chippings to complete the whole project. Thursday the 11th. I repacked the spare sails in the front bedroom cupboard as not to keep looking at them and pottered about before cooking six portions of pasta bake and jerk mince for supper wraps. Bear seems to have taken up residence in the front. Lots of drilling, screwing and muttering. Friday the 12th. Bear took to sorting his wood pile and started on the garage. I was doing a bit of sorting upstairs after lunch when I heard a tile break, mmm, off I went to find out. This was the sight that greeted me. Oh, I wondered why Wayne (a neighbour) told me I must have clonked my nose. Something fell off a shelf and hit my glasses. I’m very pleased your glasses didn’t break. Well, before you frighten old ladies and children come with me. Saturday the 13th. Slack morning, chat with Bird, after cutting Bear’s hair and beard, showers then prepping mudslides and snacks before going next door to Anne and Jez at three. Everything has to be earlier as curfew is at eight. We sat, socially distanced and had a cracking time - good food, conversation and laughs. Just what we needed. News. Sadly number are increasing sharply with police, soldiers, government workers and teachers all testing positive. Last week the total was 94. Thursday 31 new cases, the biggest daily we have had so far until Friday which jumped up by 46. We thought the daily report saying 38 and two more deaths was bad and tragic enough but later there was an update with 8 more. Stay Safe Everyone. ALL IN ALL SMALL STEPS POTTERING GENTLY |
