One of the most unique things
we have EVER seen
![]() Mum was happily directing me to the
lunch venue she had chosen to take me for my birthday lunch - The Three Choirs
Vineyard. Along the way we saw a man off his bike taking pictures of a tree that
looked like it was covered in "snow", not only
unusual but odd in the middle of a vast stretch of green. We remembered where it
was and stopped on our return journey
![]() On closer inspection the "snow" was in fact the silk of
caterpillars
![]() ![]() In fact thousands and
thousands of them
![]() Looking into the bush itself - I'm
guessing hawthorn - there was not one single leaf or
piece of bark left
![]() If anyone can shed light
on this I will as always be very grateful
ALL IN ALL THE
STRANGEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN
WEIRD AND UNIQUE
NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT IN ALL MY EIGHTY FOUR
YEARS - SAID
MUM
