On our tour went on, now in the sheeting rain not forecast at all, (dreadful flooding in Louisiana and several places here in Canada). Neither was the temperature drop from 17 degrees to 7 degrees Centigrade today. I will not mention the word cold, but looking around the bus there were more than a few nipped faces. At least the butterflies we were about to see not only live indoors but in relative warmth. This magical attraction features over 2,000 colourful, tropical butterflies floating freely among lush, exotic blossoms and greenery.

Paths wind through the rainforest setting, past a pond, waterfall and the Emergence Window, where butterflies leave their pupae and prepare to take their first flight. Very often just a short life of no more than three months, some just a few weeks. Bear was not really too impressed at the very poisonous frog, safely behind thick glass. I will let the pictures do the talking, after just mentioning, Norm our driver, did say it was seen as incredibly lucky a butterfly landed on you - I had been in no more than two minutes when a blue morpho settled on my hand and was in no rush to fly off. Bear also took another shot of a butterfly landing on a young lady and a pair doing rudies........
