On a serious note it is with sadness we have to say our good friend Pete on Troutbridge has 'come a cropper' in Fiji. I can think of no gentler way to put it. When we read about his going on the reef we felt sick, sad and helpless.

 

 

Troutbridge can be found by going to the very top of our blog page, click on 'List of Users' and find the alphabetical listing of all boats on the site. Start reading at the entry of the 27th of May. We have always followed Trouters blog as Pete always seemed to be going / arrived where we had planned to and he became our local knowledge. We met him for the first time in Barbados just after we crossed the Atlantic in January 2009. Then again in St Lucia and many a beer under the tree in Peakes Boatyard, Trinidad.

 

 

All we can do is wait for the updates and hope each time we read one that Trouters is now safe.

This means - ask not for lighter burdens but broader shoulders. There can be no undoing what has happened; only wish Pete the strength to see it through.
