Beautiful Barbuda

The day began in beauty and a little chap was there to see us off. Engine on 06:45 and en route five minutes later.

We had a cracking sail from Antigua, the thirty three miles was easy with seas of Rita Scale Three, with few spray dampenings. A teenage Frigate Bird took an interest in the troll lure and we caught our first Tuna of the season, eaten that evening with avacado salad and a glass of Rose Wine.

Barbuda is incredibly hard to see until you get to within three miles or so. The Lighthouse Hotel is our target.

Beez Neez at anchor in one point nine metres - looking lovely

It's a pity here in Paradise that sandflies and horseflies exist. Bear ready for the off.

A little "Hermy" and time for a spot of art. Waiting quietly for Foster to take us across the lagoon.....

......to see these magnificent boys

How chuffed was I???

Foster took us in so close the the nesting colonies, below us was just a few inches of crystal clear water, seaweed on the bottom and jellyfish that feed the frigates and turtles

Bear left Foster and me in the boat whilst he went to pay our two dollar National Park Ticket, then he went to clear us out. Customs and Immigration are in different buildings some trot away. Soon he returned, Foster went to the back to fire the engine up, Bear reported that one official couldn't deal with him as he was just about to eat his breakfast. I went to comment, then thought, it's the Caribbean, people can eat breakfast at 11:30 if they please. Bear was told to return after twenty minutes, quite a while for a bowl of Frosties. He went back and took these pictures, the Police Station has had a lick of paint since we were here in May, but the Justices Building looks unchanged.

BA Services Station, a pertinent picture given the hassle Jump is having with them strike/not strike. The Labour Office has had a spruce up.

Even 'one careful owner' look pretty here.

ALL IN ALL A BRIEF BUT GORGEOUS STAY ON THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND
