Scenery on Our Road Trip to See The Kumbhalgarh Fort and

Fort to Temple

We met Mob (our driver) at eight-thirty in the car turning area at the bottom of the hill from our traffic free digs. Our road trip to see the huge Kumbhalgarh Fort and then a short-cut over a rugged mountain single width track to see the Jagdish Temple. An hour out of Udaipur we were in semi-desert, the odd village until we neared the fort when we saw some hotels and resorts. Two hours on the road and we thoroughly enjoyed our fort visit, hard to imagine the now-arid valleys as lush greens during the monsoon season. There was nothing over the mountain track until we saw a few small villages coming up to the temple. Back on the main road and thence to our skinny street with our bimbling cows.
