  Mob picked us up at nine-thirty and
we were soon watching a metro train on the overhead rail. Out of Jaipur and on
to toll roads, not a bad journey with scenery we have become used to along with
over-peopled trucks and motorbikes, truck stops, but this had marble, lots and
lots of marble. We passed through Marble City, even the hospital carried the
name, a huge mining area and so much marble in massive blocks, slices and
polished product. As we neared Udaipur we saw a massive Shiva under construction
and so much more. We were settled in our
interesting digs by five o’clock. No traffic allowed up the steep hill our
haveli (traditional townhouse or mansion) stands on so the last bit was the digs
tuktuk.
