Great Harbour, Jost Van
Dyke
Great
Harbour has the feel of what you imagine is typical
Caribbean
We nipped round the corner from White
Bay and in less than a mile had buoyed up ready to go ashore, clear out with
Customs and Immigration, get a quick Painkiller in Foxy's, check the internet
and off to the United States Virgin Islands.
This is definitely a new bent on "One
Careful Owner", this time it's
transformers
We cleared out, went to the shop, had
a chat with a local called Blossom who had visited England once to stay with her
cousin, a teacher in Hampshire. She had visited my birth town of Aldershot and
wowed at the size of Tesco and Argos but agreed it was way too cold and was glad
to get home where everyone is peaceful, friendly and kind.
Then it was to
Foxy's. Bear got out one of our cards and the barman promptly handed him
a stapler and said "You put it up and you know where to find it when you
return". Bear attached it to a pole
The
atmosphere is one of party even first thing in the morning. Lunchtime, we
were still there and the entertainment came
on.
The shop next door. The
Christmas hatted statue
I wandered off to take
some photos
I loved this happy
paintwork, Bear catching up - more Painkiller
We finally shoe-horned our way out of
Foxy's, had a swim, had a sleep and stayed put for the night We'll go early in the morning "Yeh
right".
ALL IN ALL IF YOU HAVE A PLAN
- STICK TO IT - AND NEVER HAVE MORE THAN ONE
PAINKILLER
