The Wedding of Adam and Jenny, Carnglaze Caverns,
Cornwall We all
gathered in the Carnglaze Caverns, in the
Loveny Valley, near the village of St Neot, Liskeard, Cornwall. An unusual wedding venue but Adam and Jenny wanted
“something different”. The first of the caverns,
the Rum Store, is so called because it was used by the Royal Navy during the WWII to store its
supply of rum. In 2001 it was converted into an
auditorium with seating for four hundred. Due to the shape and height of the
cavern, the acoustics have been acclaimed by many of the international
performers who have played there. The lowest of
the three caverns has a lake, which was where the cover image for Echo & the
Bunnymen's LP Ocean Rain was shot and makes for a
lovely, mystical and lucky photographic opportunity. Supper was a wonderful pig
roast, a disco to follow the speeches. Here are just a few photographs of the
day, finishing with the happy couple in the lower cavern. A very happy day with
all the family and many friends.
