Day Six to St Helena
I got up this morning to find us motoring. Gasp, shock horror, motoring. Wind three to seven knots on a fairly flat, dreary looking sea under total cloud cover, at least it’s a bit warmer.
The skipper at 11:37 in ‘happy pictures’.
Yesterday we enjoyed another egg salad, I lost at backgammon and asked for a revenge match that I lost five four, getting beyond the growling stage now. Yes, but this follows previous years – I get miles ahead, behind in money and then you gallop off to the finish line. Put like that.......well, I don’t like this phase then.
The sun tried to put on a show before sunset. Last night the wind was a fickle mistress and we both found progress slow, Bear managed eighteen miles and me.....a poorly sixteen.
At six this morning we have covered 116.6 nmiles – our slowest yet.....
Total completed 718.2 nautical miles.
ALL IN ALL SLOW PROGRESS
CALM BUT WIND DROPPING
