To Snode
Creek
![]() We got up, ready to up anchor at seven
for the thirty five mile journey to Snode Creek. The morning
mist was like a scene from Great Expectations
![]() ![]() As we got going it was
strange that the mist was to the left of us and clear calm
to the right
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We enjoyed the clear morning on
glass flat water, watched by a Cormorant, Old Shoe
settled behind
![]() ![]() Fabulous to watch
our old friend the Osprey land nearby
![]() ![]() A family of
ducks took off as I cleaned the stanchions (fence posts)
![]() Perfect peace and
tranquility
![]() ![]() ![]() Neither fancy
living as remotely as this..............but it broke the scenery up a
bit
![]() Then a short while later a real treat,
off in the distance - our first wild otters, just for
you Danny
![]() Our last fixed bridge
before open water
![]() Out in the sound we saw a trawler
pulling an interesting addition
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then we watched a Cormorant take off, well after several attempts and a fair
bit of splashing
![]() Old Shoe settled beside
us for the night
We are now about two hundred miles
away from our start point in Deltaville and if bed wear is a measure of
temperature - it is thankfully getting warmer. We actually managed just a
t-shirt and undies; a massive difference to the hoodie over a hat, PJ
bottoms tucked into socks and the quilt over our heads. Marvelous to be
following the birds south
ALL IN ALL A
GRAND DAY
