Boddam Island Bimble – Part
One
![]() We spuddled in Baby Beez the three miles
over to Boddam Island.
![]() Boddam Island –
bottom left of the atoll.
![]() From a way off we could just make out a
landing jetty.
![]() ![]() We didn’t fancy the jagged edges of the
concrete jetty so we headed in to park Baby
Beez on the beach to the right. Once ashore Bear sprayed mossy repellent on me from top to toe,
reverse side, I sprayed the front and off we went.
![]() Through a gap in the
shore bushes we could see a
cross.
![]() The
memorial at the bottom of the cross.
![]() ![]() We paid our respects at the cross, bimbled south (or left) to explore.
We saw loads of hermit crabs, the chaps here had to have their own blog, oooo
a capstan.
![]() We followed a track next to an old wall.
![]() ![]() We passed ‘something’ and popped out by a fire
pit.
![]() ![]() The remains of a building that over recent
years has served as a ‘yacht club’, complete with
‘welcome mat’.
![]() On past a gap between
buildings.
![]() A smashing tree made a good
resting place for a great, big coconut
crab.
![]() ![]() The tree. A
shed.
![]() A
homestead.
