Enchanted
Walk
![]() ![]() On the sign it says: The Enchanted
Walk is one of Tasmania’s Sixty Great Short Walks. After the last couple of long
bimbles and a late night animal spotting, we needed something gentle to start
the day.
![]() ![]() Colour me happy, a
flat path with button grass on one side and a
babbling brook on the other.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We followed the
path which became a boardwalk. Off to the side
was a detour to a tunnel for small persons, on each
side were lovely guides showing the animals they may see along the way.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Things we saw along the way.
![]() ![]() ![]() Looking right from the bridge
and then to the left.
![]() ![]() ![]() A
tiny pademelon ahead of us hopped to the side and waited until we got his
picture.
![]() We stared at the water for a while, just in case a platypus said
hello.
![]() ![]() Another small
person tunnel with winter
scene.
![]() ![]() ![]() Very
gentle bimbling.
![]() The most enchanted bit
for us. All the colours.
![]() Fly fishing
lake.
![]() A semi-detached wombat house.
![]() When I see an elephant fly....... a
tree impersonating Dumbo.
![]() ![]() Our walk ended at Cascade Falls, a grand finale to our time at the Cradle
Mountain National Park.
ALL IN ALL A GENTLE START TO
THE DAY

WALK |
