The Pacific Ocean, Bridges and
Bits
We left the city early and went over the
Bridge of the Americas on our road trip
We passed a garden where a sculpture
created works from scrap. A one
careful owner and found Beard
Road.
An hour and half away from Panama City, we
stopped at a lovely hotel in Punta Chame. Full for
carnival season, the prices went up from $65 per night to $125.
The hotel gardens were very pretty and we
saw a mixed pink and white bougainvillea and pinks, quite something in this heat. We chatted to the
hotel manager who was originally from Scotland and had spent many years working
on cruise ships. We had beverages and a walk on the beach behind the
hotel.
Our first proper look at the Pacific Ocean, views to the left, right and straight
ahead.
A simple little village
church
The scenery was
dominated by the volcanic activity of long ago.
Each village and town we passed was busy
preparing for their main carnival
parades.
Modern
developments outside the city were neat and well kept
On our way to the Miraflores Visitors
Centre we went over the Centennial
Bridge.
ALL IN ALL ANOTHER GOOD
