Junior
Pan
Stanley, one of Jesse James Maxi Taxi men, took us
and another boat called Sara, to the All Stars Pan Yard on Saturday the 10th of
July, to see the junior - or the stars of the future. The ages ranged from
school starters through to the senior scholars.
To open the event we had St Margaret's Boys performing the Trinidad and Tobago
National Anthem
First up was the
2's, or the little ones who only play two notes as they start their
learning of the pan
Then the
3's
The 4's
and the 5's
Tense
parents
Future
performers
A nervous teacher and the only member of
the audience not on the edge of their seat
A supportive grandpa in
the best hat of the day
with plenty of ventilation to his solar panel
Someone out in the street was bopping to his hearts content
The radio announcer and
the music techy
Concentrating so
hard
We were charmed by this youngster -
who had played his bit in the 5's - watching his older brother whilst
cradling his little sister
We were entertained by a couple of past masters, now world wide
performers
The children
watched in awe
Plenty of support from
the flag bearers
The final act was the young Renegades, who without doubt have their place in
the adult band assured
ALL IN ALL FANTASTIC TO SEE THE
YOUNGSTERS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS
