Supper on Salty Dog
  This morning I had the idea to have
supper on Salty. Not sure what Vince had on board, I sent Bear over with a steak
to share, a packet of four langoustines for the boys
to share, a bag of baby new potatoes, a few onions and I would prepare salad,
snacks and melon for after. Bear and I spent the morning clearing out the sea
berth toilet and whilst I cleaned and reloaded, Bear began washing the cockpit.
Rummaging in the sea berth toilet I was delighted to find the stainless steel
cleaner I thought I had lost (my next outside job........). Over to Salty
Dog at six to chat and have a sherbet or three. Later, Vince did a great
job on the boys steak and seafood, and had cooked rice with peas that had a bit
of oomph. I was looking forward to having a few little potatoes with my tin of
tuna and salad, but, alas he had ‘filthed’ them up with herbs.....
 After supper we settled to backgammon. Vince needed a quick refresher and managed a
win over Bear. I settled to play with Bear’s whites on the wrong side of the
table and was so lost, it was like getting in the bath with my socks
on........
