Beez to 11th February
![]() ![]() Outside, the boys have been tenderly
preparing Beez for her top coat. Jimmy has popped by
and clucked over bits that he hasn’t found perfect and the boys have gone back
to rubbing and polishing.
![]() Deep concentration from
one of the boys.
![]() ![]() Inside Bear has been painting in the bedroom bilge and sorting in the office lockers.
![]() Bear took this picture to show me that
one half of the lounge was back to rights. Stereo
working - makes a really good noise, I’ll sort the table next week.
![]() Bear stopped work for a few minutes to
watch this spectacle. A rib brought itself out of the
water and motored by on wheels.
![]() Bear admired the way the rib came down closer to the floor.
![]() It went through the back gate and
trundled over to the hotel behind.
![]() ![]() The rib
parked as if it was a taxi and the occupants jumped
out.
![]() Bear wanted to show me his workbench.
![]() ![]() So, what did I do
this week. It went unbelievably quickly. The sewing machine (a lovely gift from
our favourite Grasshoppers) came out for a first gentle trot. Soon
cantering, even a couple of short, tentative gallops. A couple of seams on a
couple of my work shorts and then on to replacing four rusty D-rings on the
stack pack. Then it was time for something more challenging – a new tri-buckle bag. It was fun to have the pile ready for
the skipper to check when he got back to 404 after a busy day.

panel has its first fitting.
