Bay of Islands View From the
Top
 Up the wooden stairs, across the
plantation, through the village, up a slope, passing the grave of Kenneth James
Allardyce – own blog, we ducked out into the sunshine and wow, the four of us
just stood and took in this view.
 Looking straight down into the shallows.
 Looking out slightly to the left, we
could see where our outer reef stopped, the deep water
passage and where the outer reef of the next island began.
 The various blues.
We sat down and enjoyed our slice of banana cake. Each of us
had had to fight off Bear last night who could happily have scoffed his way
through Maj’s delicious cake. We sat for a while then and simply
looked.
 We could see the
channel we had used to get to Ship’s Sound
  One
more look down.
 The boys take one more look across the
Bay and then one final peek.
 .
