To the Saints

Portsmouth, Dominica to the Iles des Saintes

We left Portsmouth at one o'clock with Nimue at our side. Anne taking me / taking her. Michael at the wheel

As she pulls away the sea is a Rita five

The waves are shorter, Nimue here is sitting over two

Rising on two

Her nose being pushed

Nimue overtakes us - we can fully see the pivoting action the waves are creating

Behind us Dominica is under heavy rainfall

Seas building a bit more

Rain ahead

Squall behind us

No the horizon is OK, I left it to show our angle, now gusting Force seven. Rita seas nine to ten

Calmer as Nimue enters the Saints

We enter the channel

Guadeloupe (on the right) now in the rain cloud

Finally we get a bit of sunshine

Wiggling in to the anchorage

Flag ceremony - back to French

Main anchorage. Time to get the bins out and find where Nimue has anchored, hook down at four o six

ALL IN ALL A JAUNTY LITTLE AFTERNOON
