To Floreana

To Floreana, Our Second Island
in the Galapagos Archipelago
We were up and about and ready to
leave San Cristobal at just after six this morning. We inched past Sheer Tenacity, Rod stuck his head up and waved us off and
we then went by Islander, one of the National
Geographic vessels.
Daybreak as we see Lion Rock in the distance.
Our last look back at the anchorage, wondering if we will ever come back to this, our first island and so interesting.
We had nadder, none, zero wind so we motored the sixty miles not bothering to put the sails up. So flat and calm we played backgamon, I lost due to a few dodgy dice rolls, Huh, a few games of Rummikub and soon we had our first look at the island of Floreana.
We motored down the west coast of the island, all we saw was a day tour boat and a couple of fishing charter boats.
The journey went by quickly until we heard a massive splash beside us.
The whole gang stayed with us for the last hour, bigger chaps than we have seen before.
Two became an impromptu figurehead.
Our own show
We saw the town, with just two hundred residents and headed in.
Just two tour boats, a few local boats and us.
Sunset, shower, supper and an episode of Castle. ALL IN ALL A LOVELY
