Koshi Tappu Car Day
       We left our digs this morning at six
and by twenty past six we were in the National Park and had seen our first
birds, ten minutes later, wild dogs. During the long day breakfast and lunch on
the hoof, we saw armed soldiers caring for a vulture nest, so many birds,
butterflies, villages, a fisherman’s catch, wild and domesticated buffalo,
elephants out for a stroll and so much more. Very surprised our dodgy tyres kept
up the pace and by the time we stopped to watch sunset we were so tired and
ready for our nest. Sadly, Bear ate dal bhat for late supper and by the middle
of the night was racing to the toilet, fear of marauding elephant and hyena
forgotten all about......birdwatching from our tent on the morrow then......
