The fishing village of Chong Koh Yao
had afforded us a good sheltered anchorage to wait out the stormy night – that
didn’t happen. The fishermen in their noisy long tails seemed to come and go all
night, so it was an easy decision to get going for the fifteen mile journey to
our next stop. Just before the anchor came up we enjoyed a
‘car transporter’..........
We passed a ‘posh’ house – with a matched pair of toilets out
front................
The sun was out and the wind blew to
fifteen knots as we saw new islands in
the distance.
Alex took these two
action shots.
On the mainland we saw the summer palace of the king in the distance.
Islets out to our right.
Wind fifteen knots on the nose.......
On the left an
anchorage...............
.............several yachts nestled between the islands.
Behind us a junk
rigged local.
Our
choice.
After a few games we went ashore for a
swim. The boys watching the
beginnings of sunset.
Back in Baby Beez we looked back at the island. Ahead Beez Neez.
Beez
looking sweet and welcoming. Time for
sundowners.
Sipping a Mrs Midori we spotted two bats, within minutes the
sky was dotted with them.
ALL IN ALL A SMASHING
DAY
THE BATS WERE A LOVELY
SURPRISE |
