The fishing village of Chong Koh Yao had afforded us a good sheltered anchorage to wait out the stormy night – that didn’t happen. The fishermen in their noisy long tails seemed to come and go all night, so it was an easy decision to get going for the fifteen mile journey to our next stop. Just before the anchor came up we enjoyed a ‘car transporter’..........

The sun was out and the wind blew to fifteen knots as we saw new islands in the distance.

Sipping a Mrs Midori we spotted two bats, within minutes the sky was dotted with them.
