 After a few
chores we packed lunch, flask and with new verve headed to Bake Lakes, just a
few miles away from Eva and somewhere we haven’t been for about thirteen years.
26 seconds after launching my second rig –
success – usually the least productive of my two Diablo rods. My chap set the day off to a flying start, I was ready for
more and thought I could whoop Bear hollow. Then every mess imaginable. I had a
birds nest, had three on the run until they spit the pop-up boilie out, I lost
one and the ricochet shot my rig into the tree, all manner of nonsense. Looking
at the picture couldn’t Bear have told me to tuck my tissue
in.................
 ....................and what on earth
is going on with my hair??? I wish it would hurry up
and go silver.
 Early afternoon the tables turned –
first with this lovely youngster.
   A twirl for this super whopper.
 Late in the day this gorgeous coloured chap.
 Up close
and personal.
 The beautiful scenery at Luxor Lake did help enormously.
  My only consolation was the biggest
chap, albeit with only a few ounces in
it......
