After our visit wid de manager, Adam, it was time to drive to Plymouth. Miffy and Rachel welcomed us and within minutes, cup of tea in hand, it felt like we had been here for days. So lovely to catch up. Even more amazing is visiting your brood in their own homes. So when the youngest asks over home-made chilli-con-carne, “would you like a glass of rose” it has a very special ring to it. Bear posed with the smallest of the brood, who is to be a dad himself in just a little while..................Quite something................... I posed too. We had a great evening jus chillin and got up to a fine cooked breakfast.

Saturday evening we went out to celebrate Rachel’s thirtieth, not quite sure why Miff took home decorating with him............ We didn’t ask but he told us he was lending it to Jonno.

Rachel looked gorgeous and at thirty four weeks a wonderful advert as to how to bloom.

Lovely to see Steve, Chris (Rachel’s parents and soon to be first time grandparents. If it brings them the joy that it has us.............. a spoilt baby mmmm no bets there then......) and Adrian (Rachel’s brother and soon to be uncle Adrian), seen here with the mum-to-be. The early supper and evening (at the Glassblowing House Restaurant in Plymouth) passed as always far too quickly.

Miffy, Jonno, Rob and Jane (bridesmaid to Rachel), Steve and Chris, Adrian, Me, Bear and Rachel made up the happy group. Home we went with a promise of an early night, but the four of us somehow ended up on the upstairs hallway chatting, going off, regrouping, we ended up at going on for midnight before all was silent with Zzzzzz’s. A final picture of the birthday girl and her man.
