Revisiting The Plantation, Tobago

Leaving the fast ferry behind in Scarborough, Tobago and with a few hours to spare before meeting the MOTH's at the airport, I asked if we could stop at The Plantation to see if the Anhinga's were still happy in the tree by the main gate. First thing we saw was a happy family of ducks

Parents and babies. My beautiful Assistant waiting patiently in the weeks' bus

Just tuning up was a pair of Brown-bellied Whistling Ducks

And proud as can be - The male Anhinga

As we watched two tried to land at the exact moment on the exact spot - words were exchanged

The usual view.........

and the not so usual landing sequence

Then we had an ice cream at Store Bay where you expect to find a cock in the car park and a flowering flamboyant tree

A quick chat to a trend setting local and off to the airport to meet Mr and Mrs Walker

ALL IN ALL A GOOD START TO OUR HOLIDAY
