All well now we are more gently rocking side to side having cleared the
Mascarene Bank.
Yesterday was one of those days.
A mahoosive wave came over the top of Beez and took out the the top half of
the dodger, side rail and solar panel (starboard side). Bear worked to tie it
securely. At the same time on the same wave I was just getting up and sadly, had
I been six inches back (to hit the lounge door) or six inches forward (to hit
the back of the settee) but no, through the gap and took out the dining table.
Bear trimmed wires and sealed, and we brought in the solar panel to prop up
the jauntily angled table.
As Bear was doing a little rope tidying he fell and now sports a small
wound to forehead and a nasty looking gash to the bridge of his nose. He says
the forehead hurts more. To say he was a bit fed up but remains chirpy and
smiling.
You can tell by the volume of typing things are better today as we start
the second half of this journey. I tend our various leaks like a mother hen but
as I have just woken from a decent sleep thought to type a bit more.
All is now well on board other than beginning to resemble a damp
labrador............... |
