Our driver, Wong picked s up from the hotel at a quarter past twelve. Straight to the Causeway Checkpoint where we were stamped out of Singapore, next booth stamped in to Malaysia for ninety days. Over the Causeway, up to the marina and dropped off an hour and one minute later. The marina reception was laid out with Malaysian Rally information so we took the time to look at various marinas, services and books on offer. We picked up our Thai Visa application forms, paid our thirty pound entry fee and received bright pink polo shirts (?????? not Bear’s colour methinks) and a framed picture from the marina. The rally fee gives us a free week in Krabi Marina, discount in others and most important to us a fifty per cent discount in Pangkor Marina where we will leave Beez Neez whilst we return to the UK for a much needed visit for six months. Back to Beez to unpack, a cup of tea and a bite to eat before we went back to the deck outside the marina office for high tea, eats and drinks. Not just sandwiches but Bolognese, fish sticks, rice, noodles and so much more.

The fruit and sweet end was glorious. Juice was blue (????) and very nice. Well sated we all walked to the Hotel Jen. Lovely to be part of ONE rally and so we won’t be hearing “The other Rally” as in Indonesia....... We gathered in one of the conference rooms and heard talks Sazli (the organiser), from an experienced cruising couple, James from Pangkor Marina, a hospital administrator (health checks etc. at less cost than Singapore or Kuala Lumpur). On our way home we stopped for an ice cream and fell in the door at half past seven. Time for a giggle at Top Gear Vietnam before settling with our new and very silent bedside fan.
