The gorgeous ‘Carinya’ with its impressive extension all finished. The fold-back doors bring a outside-inside feel.

Failing on my 8,000 stomps yesterday because I got stuck into Roger’s Family Tree, by the time I realised I needed to do nearly half it was a quarter to the midnight hour and no hope. Warned that this would not happen today we followed our hosts after breakfast to the local woods, once there Margaret led setting quite a pace.

After lunch we were tasked with picking apples for Roger to make cider at the end of the month. Loving every minute, I soon left the ladder below and scrambled up in to the tree, trusty 4x4 flip-flops on feet. Bear was supposed to be the ‘on the ground collector’ but as between one and six missiles land unpredictably he waited until I was firmly on the floor. Later, up another tree with Roger acting as Clerk of Works and all-round Supervisor. I was sacked after we had filled five boxes so it was time to sample a glass of last years yield sitting in the warm sunshine.

All too much for Bear who caught some Zzzz’s.

Upstairs, the new extension leads to Margaret’s Therapy Room to the left and Roger’s Therapy Room to the right. Next time we are here we hope to see a fully functioning model railway in here and a sit on rail in the garden.
