En Route to White Cay,
Bahamas
We had arrived in to Nassau from the
south east, a quite entrance with no traffic, we left through the main channel. As soon as we left the marina at nine, we
were in the thick of it
I was cut across by a huge poser and
was passed by a crowded cat crowded with cruise ship
adventurers.
The mail
boat was just backing in to her slip, lots of small commercial traffic
waved 'good morning' as we headed for the bridge
This is a horrible moment - you know there is plenty of room - but you cannot help
holding your breath, or just not looking up.
I have to get big, ready for the many bridges in the USA.
Past the girls
on Prince George Wharf
Past the
lighthouse
Passing the small island of Arawak Cay. The bridge to the left can be confused with
the main bridge to Paradise Island
Leaving
Nassau and finally out to sea for the forty miles to White Cay; where there only three
yachts at anchor behind the reef
The view out to
sea from our protected anchorage
ALL IN ALL PLEASED
TO BE BACK TO THE REAL BAHAMAS.
