We went in off the back of Beez and really thought we would turn back, the visibility was poor but we thought we would try in the shallows for a few minutes. Well, no sooner than we were in five or six feet of water than things appeared and became worth a second look. New and old coral, hard and soft. I crossed my fingers for Al to find Nemo.......

A dozing trunkfish, very well behaved, slowly came out of his resting place.

Posing beautifully, about a foot in length.

Silly me, I should have taken the picture, then called Al. In doing it the wrong way this moray eel scurried under a hidey-hole – all we saw was his head and neck sticking out next to the orange debris...........

New organ pipe, a giant clam who shot in and a coral garden.

Healthy stuff, just as well vis is a bit cloudy or there would be hundreds of people here. Instead we get the bay to ourselves.

We saw lots of the ‘usual suspects’ plus a Mr Fish.

A chap heavily disguised in his jacket, up against the white-tipped finger coral.

Al’s first dangling jobs and my shy rock lobster.

Herds of fish came through as we wiggled in and out of the clumps.

Our target was the corner. There it was colder, deeper, rougher but we were treated to some lovely sea plumes.

Later, Bear worked out said ‘corner’. From Beez Neez to the corner was 0.4 of a nautical mile, plus the zig-zagging left that we had done at the beginning – so there and back over a mile.

On our way back to Beez - a real treat was this little nudibranch and a three foot orange pipe coral.

Then we saw a huge green anemone, complete with anemone crab and Nemo poking out. Hurrah.
