A Busy
Start
![]() ![]() Up bright and early, Mark dropped us
at Swindon Station for the 8:24 to Penzance. Seemed
strange standing at an English station. A chap rolled
in.
![]() GWR’s current
livery, Looks like the carriages are kissing, methinks.
![]() ![]() Unlike Japan, we asked which end our
carriage would land at the platform, when the train came in – yep, we had to
race to the far end.......Nearing Dawlish and
familiar sights.
![]() We changed at Newton Abbot, a quick
nip from platform two to one, thankfully next to us, had we have needed stairs
and footbridges we would have missed our connection as we arrived nine minutes
late. The bridge at Shaldon.
![]() ![]() ![]() Adam was
waiting for us and five minutes later we were sitting in his office enjoying a
cuppa and a catch-up. The Sales Director dealt with us personally and after a
hug got down to the official handover of our I40.
Shame we will have to sell in September as we fell in love on sight. The boys beginning the ‘once over’.
![]() It was lovely for me to watch father and son as they went through automatic this and
that, a press button handbrake and that we can each set our seat position to
memory. The sat-nav booklet looks like War and Peace and not recommended bedtime
reading. Sadly, Adam was down a poorly member of staff and we had a long list to
get through, so no lunch break together.
![]() Off we went, in our wheels, looking forward to proper ‘family time’ very
soon. Next stop was to see Miffy in hospital after an uncontrollable migraine
attack. Lovely to see and hug Rachel but our hug with Miff was a little hampered
by his drip. We stayed until Miff’s eyes drooped with the need of a rest and off
to our next stop. Bear had ordered a small awning doorway for when we don’t put
up Eva’s big awning, Isabel. Oh My. It was as heavy as me and in two huge
bags............ Next stop Eva herself.
![]() ![]() Eva was
pleased to see us, but it was just a quick stop to take her cover off and check
indoors, all was well and we promised to be back on the 1st of July. Next, the
store to rummage for shoes for Jo (Bear’s niece) and Ash’s wedding on the 30th
of June. We filled the car with ‘stuff to sort’ for a charity shop, supper on
the way back to Swindon and in bed by eleven o’clock. Up early in the morning to
‘sort’ whilst Team Tinson at work and school...Busy, busy and busy.
ALL IN ALL A TWENTY-FOUR HOUR
DAY, NEED A FEW MORE HOURS
ACHIEVED A LOT, WILL IT LET UP
