Splashing

Dolphins and a Big Splash Time

Just rounding our last bend to anchor just off the main Intracoastal Waterway up Kilkenny Creek when the water just to our left went nuts

One dolphin started to smack the water with his tail, several more came over

I know I've said I will only put dolphin photographs on the blog if they are doing a flipper impression, up on their tails, wearing a pink tutu - however - this was a first. I have looked tail splashing up on the Bottlenose Dolphin site, it can mean either beware, don't come any closer or hey gang there's loads of fish just here. Well as this pod had been with us most of the afternoon, we took it as supper in the making.

One more furious splash and the pod went in to team action Round Up. We have seen a round up before off Portugal, but this was very elegantly done - after all the splashing that is.......

ALL IN ALL YET ANOTHER FASCINATING FIRST FOR US
