Once a small fishing village named after its sea-faring gypsies, Labuan Bajo is now a bustling modern town with a growing tourism industry. Before going ashore we took a turn around the anchorage to look at the local girls.

Parking Baby Beez behind a jolly girl, we went ashore to meet the gang for a few pre-supper beers.

We passed a film crew shooting a travel feature. A hardware shop with attractive wheelbarrows and LB’s main Mosque.

We watched the fishmongers at work just as the sky went pink.

A quick turn round the fruit and veg market for a few bits and bobs.

The fish end didn’t smell too appealing and some of the things in a cafe window looked positively dangerous...

Time for those beers.... What a wonderful surprise to see Danny and Carol (Sentinel) who we last saw stuck in Tual with a gearbox problem. They have done a grand job catching up with the rest of us.
