To Hurepiti Bay, Tahaa
Island
Sadly, a
quarter to eleven saw us leave the beauty of Naonao Island. The wind is changing
and strengthening and the exposed location would not be the place to be if
things turn rough. First, cross back to the
mainland.
So green, no room for beaches along the
coast of Raiatea.
This journey we go just outside the reef
and get to watch the inbound surf.
The noise and
beauty was awesome.
We could have watched all day.
As we approached the corner the waves converged.
We enter the pass, leave the surf behind
and the shallow water takes on a lovely
hue.
Deep water in the
bay with a motu across the entrance.
An idyllic shack with a
view.

route to our next cul-de-sac anchorage. Twenty miles, a fast sail and settled at
three. Millennium are off in the morning for Bora Bora, we wish them Safe Winds
and Following Seas.
ALL IN ALL LOVED THE SURF
TREMENDOUS
