Helford
Passage Cruise with Cec and Martin – Part Two
Fishing and spuddling.
A nice shoreline.
Frenchman’s Creek made famous by Daphne du Maurier, more
fishing fun.
Return trip, the Budock Vean Hotel is
on the right (of the houses seen)
I’m fairly certain
this is a Warrior (one of Beez relatives) at
anchor.
Roger Taylor’s house
is in there somewhere.........
House owned by Russians on the hillside, nice rock formations.
Coming up to Cecily
and Martin’s House, Bluefields.
My sister Cecily and a picture she took of Martin and Me.
Maenporth
Beach.
Falmouth
Docks.
Commercial Dockyard repair facilities for
superyachts.
A big girl for Pepe.
A bigger view of
Lyme Bay.
An RFA boat just being commissioned with a cruise ship to her
right.
Heading back through
the anchorage.
I liked Mildred and Rita.
Back to the jetty.
Mission quote near the memorial for
Operation Chariot. The plaque reads: Operation
Chariot from this harbour 622 sailors and commandos set sail for the successful
raid on St Nazaire 28th March 1942. 168 were killed. 5 Victoria Crosses were
awarded –.- Dedicated to the memory of their comrades by the St Nazaire
Society.
ALL IN ALL
A LOVELY TRIP
