The Dance at the Village Festival of Mutalau

The dancing began.

This little one stole the show but did have flower trouble.

The crowd step up and push money into waistbands and tops and somehow the dancers keep going.

This family began really well.

Grandma and Grandpa stepped forward and the little chap said in a big voice, “This next dance if for Papa Joe, our daddy.” Joseph Hafeikitana Mahakitau, 20th April 1968 – 27th of June 2013.

The two oldest began openly weeping the others looked shocked but somehow they got through it.
