Stanley Bimble – Before and
After The Nut......
We had a slack start to the day and
then began our Stanley bimble. Opposite camp was this amazing shrub.
Up the hill past the Stanley Hotel, established in 1847.
The WW1
Memorial.
Cute shops.
The Chemist
and Town Hall, 1887 and 1911.
Antiques
shop and a house for sale.
Oooo a Beez Neez coloured
Boxster.
Bits and
bobs as we get closer to The Nut.
Star of the
Sea with the cemetery opposite – some Pioneers
are buried here.
The Star of the
Sea has a lovely view of the bay.
Nearly to the chair lift, we stopped
for a breather and to look over Stanley, population 281.
We had a smashing time and great views from up The Nut.
After successfully rappelling down the
steep zig-zag path we stopped at the Gift Shop. Still
quite high over the beach.
We walked past a house with traditional lobster pots in the
garden. A look back up at The Nut.
Pretty rental
properties, we could be in Cornwall.
We loved Bob Lives
Here. Time for a swift half in
the Stanley Hotel.
