Stanley Bimble – Before and
After The Nut......
![]() ![]() We had a slack start to the day and
then began our Stanley bimble. Opposite camp was this amazing shrub.
![]() ![]() Up the hill past the Stanley Hotel, established in 1847.
![]() The WW1
Memorial.
![]() Cute shops.
![]() ![]() The Chemist
and Town Hall, 1887 and 1911.
![]() ![]() Antiques
shop and a house for sale.
![]() Oooo a Beez Neez coloured
Boxster.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bits and
bobs as we get closer to The Nut.
![]() ![]() Star of the
Sea with the cemetery opposite – some Pioneers
are buried here.
![]() The Star of the
Sea has a lovely view of the bay.
![]() Nearly to the chair lift, we stopped
for a breather and to look over Stanley, population 281.
![]() We had a smashing time and great views from up The Nut.
![]() ![]() After successfully rappelling down the
steep zig-zag path we stopped at the Gift Shop. Still
quite high over the beach.
![]() ![]() We walked past a house with traditional lobster pots in the
garden. A look back up at The Nut.
![]() Pretty rental
properties, we could be in Cornwall.
![]() We loved Bob Lives
Here. Time for a swift half in
the Stanley Hotel.
