We said our farewells to the lovely town and Lake Te Anau and were very soon on a country road.

This lady was very unimpressed that Mabel was so much bigger. The little one a slow walk will do. When the farmer passed in his car he was towing a trailer with a mum and her baby born en route.

We drove through the trendy town, known as ‘the adrenaline capital of New Zealand’ due to the number of activities available here that gets the blood pumping, to park next to the lake, the Remarkables looking snowy. We are due to begin our visit in a leisurely way with our afternoon cruise on the TSS Earnslaw.
