This morning came to a bit of a useless end. Bear walked up to borrow a marina trolley, loaded six empty diesel cans and off we bimbled to the fuel dock. Bear went to the office to find out the way to pay and was told it was a strict policy that no full cans could be trundled in a trolley. He nipped into the electrical shop and bought a new aerial for the AIS as at present it’s shared with the radio that doesn’t like it. Bear parked the trolley, popped into the Volvo place and bought me a new engine hours dial – why it’s mine, don’t ask I didn’t. Then between us we carried the empties back home...........
The rest of the day I kept myself busy about the estate and Bear got stuck in to my new dial that involved handfuls of  pretty coloured wires. It has been on the blink since we arrived in New Zealand. At least the job is going well as I got a big cheesy grin which got even cheesier after lunch when he beat me five one at backgammon..........

My new dial does look rather smart. Then it was shower time as we had been invited at five o’clock to sundowners on Wishful Thinking, also on the Indonesian Rally. We were thrilled to meet Rick and Val (Arkaydes), reacquaint with Andy and Trish (Sengo first met at the Middle Percy BBQ) and our hosts on WT – Mick and Gin who we immediately thought we would have a good laugh with at the rally ‘dos’. The boys talked maintenance and electricals and all seemed to have the same hassles as Bear. The ladies had a real chuckle so the boys joined in too.
