Parrots, Macaws and the Lorikeets We Met at Bali Bird Park

Bali Bird Park has so many different parrots and the like. The bigger birds sit around in trees until they are called upon to fly in the three shows we watched called ‘Meet the Stars’. The macaws got to fly way above the bird of prey showground, could easily have disappeared over the horizon but chirpily returned for a hug and a few monkey nuts.  They seemed very happy and extremely healthy – no signs of feather plucking through boredom. The handlers were enthusiastic and really looked as if they loved the birds in their care. Here are some we stroked, cuddled, watched and cooed over.
