Our last activity on our Roimata Cultural Tour Day was a snorkel opposite Lelepa Island, near the chiefs original village. The first few steps into the crystal clear water took us to hip deep and another step out of our depth. The incredible hot bits were stopped short by freezing bits and the salinity changes brought hazy bits. As the first huge piece of hard coral came into view, we saw massive cucumbers – the last chap is two feet long, a variety of clams in all shapes, sizes and colours, worms and a variety of fish.
