We have had such a perfect but busy week. The weather has been hot and sunny.

Saturday we went ashore for the paper and a few bits and bobs. We had lunch in The Galleon and we could hear Morris Dancers out in the square.
I took my shandy out to take a look when Ann appeared, shortly followed by Terence. Why I wanted to jump up from our table I don't know - but by chance.
They came over to visit the girl. Thank you for such a lovely surprise.

Sunday evening we went for a spuddle in the tender to the end of the creek, on our return we saw Port Star and were invited aboard to have wine and catch up with Rick and Carole.
Monday we saw two couples we recognised from Sutton Harbour and stopped to chat.

C and R Riggers came on Wednesday to put up the mast steps, the fog horn, clutch jammers and a spinnaker pole uphaul to enable furling of the twizzle rig from the cockpit.

A huge THANK YOU to Chris, Russell and Alex for all their hard work.

Wednesday evening we had a visit from Mike Hannay who a Day Skipper/Comp Crew course on Cherry B. It was smashing to catch up on news.

This young lady became a daily visitor and had her bread on the stern platform, her mate has now settled with us.

Bear and his hen crab, there always seems to be an awful lot of faffing about, but he assures me its worth it.

We had our first go at forraging, the yield in the pan looks way better than the reality on the plate and some took a lot more heavy handed persuasion to give up their contents.
It did make a tasty fresh addition to Bear's starter though. Must do better next time.

Thank you to the ladies in the Library who helped me when I needed the internet £1.80 for half an hour. Also available in Pinky's Cafe.

Why we love Fowey

A view from the creek, a lady with her dog in a hammock and her other dog looking out to sea and Bear on the beach.

The Royal Fowey Yacht Club - wonderful showers for £1, great Sunday roast. A yacht cruise and a photo of The Esplanade where we got engaged.
