This morning we leapt up, off to Coles for our final supermarket shop to collect forty two packs of part baked rolls for Bear, sixty packets of my polystyrene ceiling tile biscuits and a hundred and eight tins of tuna for me (lucky girl) together with a few bits and pieces all fitted into two store trolleys which we pushed home to Beez. Time to haul it all in the cockpit before we had to head off to the minibus taking us to todays briefing at the Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron. Once upstairs we found a delegation of Indonesians who presented us with a badge, cap, tee shirt and booklet each. After John had taken us through some information as far as Thursday Island, he handed over to Raymond – our Indonesian leader all the way through the twenty official ports of call on the rally. Just a few islands then.......... so many in fact that some are unnamed.

We assembled outside for a group photograph taken by a local newspaper. I snuck this shot of Raymond, Steve (Commodore of CCYS) and John (Rally Organiser).

Back upstairs, we were treated to just a taste of what we will see along the way.

Home after drinks courtesy of John and Lyn, we found our friends posed on Vamanos. Crusty resplendent in his pirates hat. Love the way they all form up for me each afternoon. Job list now dictated a canter around the lounge on the sewing machine, just three tether lines for jerry cans, two extension pieces for replacement cans and a trot along the zipper lines of the conservatory. That done it was eleven thirty, time for bed Zebedee.

ALL IN ALL SO MUCH TO LOOK FORWARD TO
