Beer
 In
the supermarket Tiger beer reminded us of Beez and
our other life
We ventured out this afternoon, Mark
dropped us at the top of town, told us to follow the road and we couldn’t get
lost......... Took us three attempts to get into the jewellers – the first time
was the vase and stuff part of the business that didn’t connect, the second was
fighting with the security door and the third was failing to press a button to
get in through the inner door, we were rescued and soon had a hot flush apiece
with all the lights in the display cabinets. I put an ankle chain in for repair
and Bear put his watch in for service. We really should have called it quits
there and then and got a taxi home. No, brushed with success we bimbled on,
under instruction from our new friend. Morrisons was our first adventure in an
English supermarket, all too much and we had to have a cup of tea. On the High
Street we felt confident. We did quite well for a while, Bear bought a BT phone
card, I was brave enough to visit HMV by myself but soon had to go for help as I
had no idea what my PIN number was....... Too much excitement, found the bus
stop and managed to find our way back with help from a very patient bus driver
and half the passengers.
