South Fouquet, Chicks and Wave
Watching
![]() ![]() Off to South
Fouquet, weather gorgeous, water crystal
clear.
![]() Mincing Baby Beez through the
coral heads.
![]() Looking toward
Beez Neez.
![]() Time for a swim, Bear led the way.
![]() I bimbled to the end of
the sand spit, it looks as if you could walk across to Pepe’s Island – actually point four of a mile
away.
![]() ![]() Watching the water meet across the sand spit.
![]() To the left of the sand
spit, looking out to sea.
![]() Tide out, time to bimble to the seaward side.
![]() ![]() ![]() A couple of
red-foot chicks. one standing like a big boy, the other was dozing but
managed to look up.
![]() A big brown
chap in a rock pool.
![]() ![]() Guess the fashion over this side is
for wearing pencil skirts.
![]() The gang on the
old coral bed were skittish.
![]() Bear collected a caught up marker
buoy, a couple of floats and a few plastic bottles, habit set, we carried them.
Tide about to turn we slowly made our way back to our side of the island
enjoying some wave watching on the outer reef as we
went.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Darker blue on the outer compared
to............
![]() ...............our side. Bobby photo-bombed........
![]() ![]() ![]() Chaps along the
way.
![]() One final look at the fluffy white balls and time for a snorkel.
![]() Another look
across to Pepe’s Island, the noise greater with the change in tide. I
paddled as far as I could before my ankles felt battered.
![]() No wonder a full rip is so lethal. The
force of a little wave meeting another making just
eight inches threatens my balance.
![]() Back on the
beach - how inviting is the water ???
ALL IN ALL ANOTHER SMASHING
AFTERNOON
BEAUTIFUL, CLEAR WATER ON OUR DESERTED
