The White Chairs Memorial and CTV
Site We wanted to show our respects at
the CTV Site. We crossed the road from the ‘Cardboard
Cathedral’ leaving it over our right shoulder.
The saddest sight was looking down at the CTV parking
spaces.
We crossed the road once more to see the one hundred and
eighty five white chairs.
The car seat is a very poignant reminder that the youngest killed was just five
weeks old.
The wheelchair,
representing the oldest at eighty seven.
Two of these chairs belong to the UK.
Bear found the
chair that spoke to him most, it was a spongy one and he got very
wet...........
We spent time sitting as dusk fell. The
‘Cardboard Cathedral’ in front of us and the CTV site diagonally opposite to the
left.
Behind the White Chairs was a small cardboard turret, there we
read the names of all who perished.
ALL IN ALL VERY
MOVING
SO VERY
