A swim in the hot pool after a day of chores, I cheekily suggested supper at the hotel. Well in fairness forty-four degrees outside temperature, the air con aboard fights to keep the lounge at thirty-three degrees - soon increasing the second the cooker goes into action. And, it is all you can eat for seven pounds. I have to make a bed of rice, half fill it with yoghurt and add a few pieces of meat – no sauce and mix with a little cucumber and tomato. Hot (as in spicy) enough. Bear went back for seconds followed by red pudding (a red and white spongy-creamy thing that was delicious) and ice cream.

Bear got the purse out to pay and I looked at some of the notes. A five hundred Rupee or £5.53.

Lovely planting.

I still wonder at the choice of art throughout the foyer of the hotel, old classics and the first one from the front door - The Jewish Bride by Rembrandt, painted around 1667.

Heading toward the front door it seemed a shame to pass an airport-type security machine and outside a body metal detector.

Down the drive to our building.
