To Keswick
Island
We got up this morning to not a breath
of air over Refuge Bay.
Yet again we added zero for wind speed in the logbook.
We only had a short motor to St. Bees Island.
Soon Refuge Bay and Scaw Fell was getting smaller.
Aspatria Island to the left, St.
Bees in the middle and Keswick to the
right.
Ahead, between St. Bees
and Keswick we could see one of the
anchorages.
We left the isolated danger marker behind – a very popular spot for
fishing.
We headed over to anchor behind the yacht on the left of the
group.
Soon settled, Bear launched Baby Beez.
Looking toward the
bottom of St. Bees (on the left) and Keswick, it looks narrow but it is actually
a deep, navigable channel.
Tucked in I was keen to see what the sign
says.
Our
four neighbours. All we could hear were hundreds of fruit
bats.
Looking out the way we had come. Time to go ashore
for a bimble.
ALL IN ALL BARELY A RIPPLE
FELT
A SHORT, LITTLE
HOP
