To Keswick
Island
![]() We got up this morning to not a breath
of air over Refuge Bay.
![]() Yet again we added zero for wind speed in the logbook.
![]() We only had a short motor to St. Bees Island.
![]() Soon Refuge Bay and Scaw Fell was getting smaller.
![]() Aspatria Island to the left, St.
Bees in the middle and Keswick to the
right.
![]() Ahead, between St. Bees
and Keswick we could see one of the
anchorages.
![]() We left the isolated danger marker behind – a very popular spot for
fishing.
![]() We headed over to anchor behind the yacht on the left of the
group.
![]() Soon settled, Bear launched Baby Beez.
![]() Looking toward the
bottom of St. Bees (on the left) and Keswick, it looks narrow but it is actually
a deep, navigable channel.
![]() Tucked in I was keen to see what the sign
says.
![]() Our
four neighbours. All we could hear were hundreds of fruit
bats.
![]() Looking out the way we had come. Time to go ashore
for a bimble.
ALL IN ALL BARELY A RIPPLE
FELT
A SHORT, LITTLE
HOP
