We arrived at the Birds of Prey Centre with plenty of time to look around the flights. Lovely owls.

A great favourite of mine – The Secretary Bird.

She injured her foot in an accident with a fence. This breed is known for strutting and stomping to find their favourite meal of a snake. Once caught in those huge, powerful feet it exerts a massive squeeze and a vice-like grip until the snake yields. This lady cannot do this anymore and so will spend the rest of her life here. Currently undergoing training to be included in the show. In fact most of the birds above we would see flying high and swooping, seemingly very happy and fond of their owners.

Walking toward the seating area we passed a ‘very show-ready’ Sea Eagle, cannot wait to see her fly.
