Entering the grounds of the Golden Rock Inn we saw wild monkeys. This hotel is perched one thousand feet up, an exotic getaway, ocean views and another fifty foot fresh water pool. The unique sugar mill with boldly coloured cottages complete with four poster beds, island antiques and original art.

The Nisbet Plantation, home and birthplace of Fanny Nisbet is the only historic plantation inn located on a beach. Thirty six air conditioned cottage suites are nestled in the thirty acres of well trimmed tropical gardens. Nisbet was voted number one Luxury Resort in the Caribbean in TripAdvisor's 2008 Traveler's Choice Awards. There are three restaurants, tennis, pool, hot tub, spa, fitness centre and half a mile of white sand beach. Per day a junior suite is US $877, lower deluxe $761, deluxe garden $761 and superior room $656 plus 10% VAT and 11% service charge. The price tags include bed, breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. However the three central advertising shots, do not really show the Atlantic sea and its roughness, the rocky reefs reaching all the way to the beach  - we didn't fancy it.
